Seneca Casino

We spent two nights in the Niagra Falls area, staying on the American Side. The big attractions on this side were the Maid of the Mist boat tour and the Seneca Casino. Over on the Canadian side the tourist industry had been embraced much more and that side of the falls was much livelier, so we tried a night in each.

Towering over everything in the vicinity is the Seneca Casino, a monstrous blight of gambling excess that lacks the charm of the casinos in Las Vegas. Upon entering I was stopped by security and told to check my bag into reception as it was deemed a "security risk" (it contained souvenirs). With reception on the other side of the casino floor I was told to walk in a straight line immediately over to the other side without deviating. Friendly!

Having checked in my gambling sabotaging equipment into reception we then took a walk around the floor to see if there were any interesting games to play. We didn't find any, instead finding lots of old ugly smokers stuck to the machines like they were taking part in an endurance event. With our eyes stinging we left without spending a dime, heading back to reception to collect our bags and then walking immediately in a straight line back across the floor to the exit.

Not recommended..
