Atlantic City

Once we had made it back to the hotel a small group of us decided to grab a taxi van into Atlantic City. The initial idea was to visit Steel Pier but time was too tight and it would have closed before we reached it. So with the credit whoring no longer needed we were able to enjoy what the area had to offer.

The boardwalk is quite nice but there is an unsettling air about the place.
We ended up inside the Tropicana having a really nice chinese meal.

I never realised that these guys were still going. I guess that's the power of having a song linked to a timeless time travelling movie. On the night we were there there was some sort of MMA event taking place. This meant there were lots of fans and wannabee street fighters in and around the hotel complexes. Given that the whole place had an air of trouble anyway this crowd just seemed to make that even more prevalent. So we chose not to stick around and headed back to the hotel.

I hit the sack at 2am, the latest night of the trip so far. Thanks to Tomo our taxi driver and local guide for the night.
